Once upon a time, a cat in Buckinghamshire just stopped miaowing for reasons unknown. Sounds like a story worth doctor Gregory House himself. Fun aside, the treatment ended up being as complicated and as expensive as any cat-crazed pet lover would possibly set out for.

Apparently, 13 years old cat called Cadbury suffered the laringe paralyse. It needed two surgery operations worth 5 grand in total. That apart, 4 months of intensive care rehabilitation followed, ending up in another 5 grand on the bill. Shocking as it is, Jean Kelly, the owner of Cadbury, agreed to go with the expensive treatment programme.

The procedures went very well and the happy cat continues its static life in the terrace.

Even though, the insurance company covered the larger part of the costs, Jean had to find ₤4.000 on her own. She even sacrificed her holidays in southern Africa just to save her cat.

The whole story is pretty ironic, millions of people in the very same Southern Africa face consequences due to many illnesses, by not getting any treatment.
