You don’t suppose it can be easy being this exceptional, but even if you manage to make it to the world record books by being the tallest or heaviest person on the planet, love does not abandon you.

In 2006 Bao Xishun was confirmed in the Guiness World record book as the tallest person on the planet. Being 2.36 meters tall, the Chinese man ranks above all of professional basketball players, who are considered to be the tallest athletes.

Bao, at the time 55, finally met his twice younger bride having received vast amounts of notability and attention after the record was announced. Reportedly, many women were interested, but he chose Xia Shujuan who was living in the same region. She is incredible 68 cm shorter than Bao. The man instantly stated he was interested in raising a child, who could eventually replicate his dad’s height.

“If we have a child, i hope he or she will be at least 180-190 cm tall, thus possibly becoming a basketball player”, said Xishun.

NBA scouts are yet to be impressed, but Chinese giant’s former wish did come true. This month Xia gave birth to a 4.2 kilogram weighing son.

However the pride of being the tallest one on the planet is no longer Bao’s property. World record now belongs to newly-found tower-man from Ukraine Leonid Stadnik, who is amazing 2.54 meter tall!

Another ex record-breaker Manuel Uribe Garza from Monterrey Mexico is known as the heaviest person in medical history. At the peak of his weight gain in 2000 he was closing to the 94 stone (600 kg).

Not only he started rapidly losing weight by 2006, he engaged to Claudia Solis, 38, whom he had met a few years before. And things started moving to the right direction for the still massively overweight Mexican. By 2007 his weight dropped to 60 stone and the couple actually arranged their wedding date.

Manuel expressed his dream to finally get up from his bed, which he is unable to do, and walk to the altar with Claudia as a part of the big ceremony.

It looks like his dream is just around the corner. The wedding is set to happen on 26th October with Manuel already being under 40 stone.
