If you think this is another misleading headline to make you read the message that is slightly differing from its title, you are right! But a few Scots did not find that funny at all.

Guests of a party in Grangemouth, Stirlingshire have released a number of balloons up in the air, having attached candles onto them, with a hope their wishes would come true. It is too hard to tell whether any wishes were „granted“, but the neighbourhood was frightened.

People have mistaken the balloons for alien spacecrafts. The slow moving lights in the night matched to what people have heard about UFO‘s and police was flooded with calls. Police spokesman said: "We've had call, after call, after call, saying it's UFOs. "It turns out that there's a party going on and they are letting off balloons with candles on. They make a wish and then release them into the sky." Considering the Scottish temper, it is quite surprising that instead of calling police the locals did not pull out their shotguns and attack the “bloody Marrrrtian bastarrrrrds” themselves!
