Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse: inspiring ups & pathetic downs
Remember the day that the world showbiz was shocked by Britney’s shaven head videos all over Youtube? By celeb gossip news sites coming up with new drug-addiction stories? Guess what, things like these are not going to happen anymore. Well, at least for a while, that is. Britney has gone through a tough road of recovery and now stands strong before the cameras.

Ooops, I did it again...
It is 10 years now since when ...Baby One More Time has simply swept away the chart contenders, taking the number ones in every major country. The album made Britney Spears the most successful teenage singer, in terms of album sales, of all times. Despite the same has never been achieved later in her career, the consistency in making it to the top of the charts remained stunning. Slumps follow every success, it is just the way it is, and they were there for Britney as well. Her personal life started falling apart after a hardly successful marriage, drugs and alcohol problems that led to many tabloid stories as well as embarrassing pictures.

What the f.... ?
Thanks to her ex-alcoholic father Jamie, the singer was put in hospital with difficult but effective recovery restrictions. The results are unbelievable. Spears appeared at Jim Carrey’s charity event, posing to the cameras alongside him and his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy.
OK, so it may be a brilliant, inspiring story. But what does it have to do with Amy Winehouse? Well, she is going the very same way, only being one move behind. The newspapers are covering more and more of her personal life disasters. The exceptionally talented singer was reported to be elbowing down a fan during her performance at the Glastonbury Festival.

Taking drugs...
Due to smoking and drugs abuse Amy was diagnosed with the lung emphysema. Her father Mitch reported she faces a slow and painful death if things in her life do not change dramatically. This ongoing tragedy of life involved singer’s husband Blake Fielder, who was recently sentenced with 27 months in jail for attacking and blackmailing a pub keeper in East London.

The exceptionally talented singer will quit the concert activities from early September as a part of the rehab orders. The time will be dedicated for the rest and recovery. However, will this save Amy from what is a deeply complicated situation? And is this the price you pay for fame, glory and money? It is doubtful whether to envy or feel sorry for the rich & famous...
