Buying a new life online is now possible
When eBay says you can 'buy or sell practically anything' on their site, wow... do they mean it! The hottest offer right now is... a person’s life.
Ian Usher, 44, after suffering a divorce, decided to start his life from scratch. Quite literally. He now offers his entire life in Australia for anyone to take. Well, not just to take, right now the bid is over 2 million Australian Dollars and rapidly rising, as already over 100 eBay bidders are trying to snatch the unique “item”. But apparently it is worth the money. Usher offers his 3 bedroom house in Perth, Western Australia. As well as everything within the house: an old Mazda, a Kawasaki Ninja sports bike, a jet ski, computer and home entertainment equipment and all the other appliances he had, such as a relaxing spa. And it doesn’t end there. In order for the buyer to completely and comfortably take over Ian’s life, his job and friends are on offer too!
"On the day it's all sold and settled, I intend to walk out of my front door with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, nothing else at all. My current thoughts are to then head to the airport and ask at the flight desk where the next flight with an available seat goes to, and to get on that and see where life takes me from there.", he said.
Usher’s pure determination is supported by his employer too. Co-owner of the rug store assured the successful bidder will be given a two-week trial and then possibly permanently employed.
You could be wondering about how this man is going to ‘sell’ his friends. Well, fortunately, friends is something that still remains priceless. The ‘buyer’ will be introduced to them with the hope of “transferring the friendship”, but whether the “transfer” will be successful is obviously up to the people themselves.
