It is not some kind of an afterparty prank when next morning you wake up bald and with weird things drawn onto your face. It is an actual hairstyling service working at the Dartmouth Arms in Tufnell Park, north London.

Managers of the pub claim, they suffer a terrible lack of visitors recently thanks to both newly implemented EU smoking ban and cheap alcohol in supermarkets. Having lost a major part of regular drinkers, they decided to find new ways of attracting customers and surviving the complicated economic climate.

"With the credit crunch, the increase in taxes and rent, it's no secret that it's very difficult for pubs so it's a case of anything we can do to make it easier and make a bit more money.", pub landlord says.

Hairstylist visits the pub once a week. Reportedly, having had a few drinks visitors tend to be slightly more daring and happily enjoy the £9 service.

It is not easy to tell just how successful this idea is going to be, but you sure have to give pub owners credit for creativity.
